Cobra Kai’s tribute for the fourth season
A tribute shown during the final credits of Cobra Kai season 4 rapidly drew the attention of fans.
In the last moments of episode 7, a “In Memoriam” tribute mentioned Albert Olmstead’s name.
An In Memoriam piece was also inserted at the end of the pilot episode to remember the late actor Ed Asner, who played Johnny Lawrence’s stepfather, Sid Weinberg.
Are You Aware of Albert Olmstead’s Identity?
Olmstead worked with the Camera and Electrical team to help create 21 episodes of Cobra Kai.
On July 19, 2021, an event that happened at his home resulted in the unfortunate death of the crew member.

Albert Omstead has five stepchildren and one biological kid
Omstead’s brother-in-law also told 11 Alive, “He supported their needs and put their needs first, whether it was emotionally, financially, or everything.”
Wachtel went on to add, “Had he gone out there five minutes earlier or five minutes later, our world would be entirely different place right now.”
In his memory, Cobra Kai devoted the seventh episode of their fourth season to Albert Omstead.
After the Professional’s Death, the Olmstead Family
Albert Omstead passed away shockingly and suddenly, according to his family.
On July 19, 2021, Omstead was standing next to a retaining wall in his own home when the wall abruptly collapsed, killing him.
His brother-in-law Scott Wachtel told the news organization 11 Alive that “instantaneously, the entire thing just collapsed on top of him.”
He went on to say: “The garage door was closed and there was a van parked right here (in front of garage), so he couldn’t run this way (towards garage), he couldn’t run this way (away from garage) because the rest of the wall was collapsing over here, so he had nowhere to go.”
